Moving Candle

    If you are reading this, you are probably hoping to move Candle to a new computer.
    We will detail the steps below.

    On the old machine:

    • Go to Candle and click Setup.
    • Under the section System Maintenance, click Backups.
    • Choose the green button that says Run Backup Now.
    • When the backup is completed, choose Download on the right-hand side.
    • This downloads the backup to your Downloads folder. (usually C:\Users\user_name\Downloads)
    • Move this file to a flash drive, or otherwise, move it to the new machine.
    On the new machine:
  • Open Candle on the new machine.
  • On the Welcome page, click Get Started.
  • When prompted, selected Existing Setup. Then click Choose File.
  • Select the file to upload and choose Open.
  • Finally, click Upload File.
  • When the restore is completed, you will be redirected to the home page where you can use the system as normal.
