Moving From Local Install to Cloud Install

To move data from a local installation to a cloud installation, a backup must be created on the local installation, then uploaded to the cloud server.

Run a Backup

Open Candle on your computer. Then follow the steps below:
1. Click Setup on the lower-left.
2. Under the title System Maintenance, click Backup.

3. Click Run Backup Now:

... then click Download to download the backup to your computer.

Restore the Backup

The file that was downloaded contains all your school's information. This file can now be uploaded to your new setup:
1. Go to the address provided by Olive Tree support.
2. Click Get Started on the welcome prompt:

3. Choose Existing Setup when prompted:

4. Click Choose File, then locate and open the file that you downloaded in the previous steps:

5. Finally, click Import. Wait for the import to complete. You will be taken to the login page where you can login with your credentials, just as on your local system.
